The day the wall came down
Mumbai Monsoon :: The day the wall came down

No, I am nor talking about the wall between East and West Germany and I am not talking about the wall of Pink Floyd. I am talking about the wall of Majas bus depot that collapsed on 26th July 2005 due to heavy rains killing about a dozen people who had made huts along the wall. On the right of the picture you can see that this wall used to be on the JV Link Road, a project by World Bank. World Bank that spent a fortune rehabilitating the illegal squatters of JV Link Road. The last bit on the board is in Marathi and reads “Gairsoi babat dilagir aahot” meaning “Inconvenience regretted”
