Corona Beer - Eight million bottles a year
CervecerÃa Modelo/Grupo Modelo makes Corona and Modelo Beer and and between these two brands, they export eight million bottles worldwide annualy. Corona - the flagship beer of Grupo Modelo is one of the best known and most popular beers in the United States. Corona is the best-selling beer produced by Mexico, and the best selling nondomestic beer in both the U.S. and U.K. It is also one of the five largest selling beers in the world and is exported to over 150 countries.
Movies like Fast and Furious where Vin Diesel and other characters are showns drinking Corona has made this beer popular in India but over here it is not as popular because of its higher price tag. While a pint of Corona sells for Rs125 in India, other beers like Carlsberg and Tuborg, also manufactuerd by the same group that owns Corona, are available at less than Rs50 per pint. So on a hot summer day when I need something to quench my thirst, Corona has little chances of beating Carlsberg.
