It takes time for us to ask the questions but eventually we do and when people start asking questions, the change has to follow. It may be slow but it does come eventually. One of the questions that were begging to be asked for a long time was asked in mainstream news media when Hindustan Times ran an article on holidays homework assigned to kid. Most of the projects are such that they can't be completed by kids. You can read more about that in the Hindustan Times article here. While I understand that a lot of the things can't be done by kids, I also am very firm in the belief that kids need to be a part of it. I can't let Manu raj handle sharp cutters which are required to cut the board but he can damn well handle the paper and the glue and the mud and everything else that goes in this project. It is essential to engage him so he learns something and enjoys the process of creating something with your own hands.
So while it may not be the prettiest model in the class, I am sure this has maximum contribution by the kid.
