Taj Mahal - as seen by Shah Jahan in his later years

Mughal emperor Shah Jahan made Taj Mahal in the memory of his wife. One can only imaagine the kind of power and money he had to create something as grand as this. But what is the point if all you can manage in the end is to look at it from your prison cell.

But then again, a lot of people, possibly including Shah Jahan would still opt to rule and spend the twilight years prisioned by his own son than to love free as a commoner.
