We know that plants have life and if Charles Darwin and his theory of survival of fittest is anything to go by, I am sure anything alive will have some competitive spirit. And when that natural instinct and spirit is not engaged in a struggle for survival it will kick in in other areas. Now, with that in mind, can we confidently rule out the possibility that this leaf is not engaged in some sort of competition with other leaves to see who can hold more drops of water or for longer?
