Twelve year old

For someone like me who hates to read fine print, it is comforting to know that the age mentioned on the bottle of the Whisky is the minimum age of the blends so if a whisky is called 12 years old, the youngest blend in the mix is 12 years old with others being even older. Imagine paying a premium price to buy a bottle of 12 or 18 years old whisky, only to go home and read the fine print say "Minimum of 15% of this blend is 12 years old"
