My initial experience of celery was with baked potatoes in Melbourne and my initial reaction was not entirely positive. I found it too strong and sour and never tried it afterwards. A few years our gardner came with celery plants and ever since it has become an integral part of a lot of dishes including pasta and salads - freash during the season and dreid in off-season.
