Running your business while keeping your eye on the next quarter is the norm. Most businesses are run with the objective of maximizing the value to stockholders. What I find admirable is keeping your focus on larger groups - your customers, your employees and your country. This used to be the vision of JRD Tata who believed in making a positive impact to the lives of people.
He believed in making a positive impact to the society before "CSR" became trendy, he thought about his employees before terms like "Employee First" were coined.
