Dadasaheb Phalke Jayanti
Dadasaheb Phalke is regarded as the father of Indian Cinema and there is an organisation of film associations named after him - Dadasaheb Phalke Academy. On his birthday every year, they present awards to people for their contribution to Indian Cinema. This year the ceremony was held on 4th of May at Bhaidas Hall in Ville Parle.
