27th April 2006 :: Looking for Lord Mountbatten

I was told that there used to be a statue of Lord mountbatten in that structure near the India Gate and it was vandalised by a mob that protested the presence of a statue of a Brit at a monument like this. I don't know if this is true or not. Do throw some light on it if you know the truth.
