A person may have lived his entire life without giving in to a temptation but someone along they way made the temptation so irresistible that the man gave in. In this case, is it just the weakness of character/resolve/will power of the person giving in to temptation or some fault lies with the person who helped along the way?

I am talking about the Slumdog Millionaire child star Rubina whose father was supposedly selling her to a sheikh. If he did agreed to “give up her girl for adoption”, wasn't it because of the outrageous amount of money offered by the TV reporter.

Selling a child is an unforgivable crime. However before we start judging Rubin's father, I'd like us to take a look around ourselves. There are countless TV shows where even celebrities who have plenty of money are manipulating others, abusing others, getting down to full on fist fights and what not. And all this for what? A little more of what they already have plenty of.

Very few things are not on sale today. I have been thinking about the ethical and moral issues that arise when money is controlling the actions. Is betting on a boxer or a cricket team the same as betting on a horse in a race. And what do you say about “buying” a cricket player in an auction for a couple of crores.
