Check out the Whisky Image gallery

After compiling an image gallery for Beer, I felt it was only right to give the Whisky its due. Over a period of years I have posted a fair amoung of images of Whisky bottles so I have created an image galley for that as well. It's interesting to note that I have not bought even a single bottle in this image gallery. I got one as a gift from a friend and the rest were bottowed from other just for this purpose.

This Image Gallery is not difinitve and will keep growing. I have processed some images of Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve which I will be posting in the coming days and a batch of unprocessed Ballentyne images which will also find their way on this gallery eventually. I hope you will like these images.

"Make the logo bigger"

A constant and favorite crib of designers is the clients request to "make the logo bigger". Before Johnnie Walker was a renowned brand like it is today, it also had to go through the face of obscurity and uncertainty. One of John Walker's innovations was a square bottle instead of a round one and that actually presented another challenge. On a round bottle the label can be bigger but on a square on, the label can't be bigger than one side of the square. John Walker got around this by rotating the label 22°. That allowed him to make the logo bigger.

Now a designer won't mind a customer who is willing to apply his mind like this instead of just asking her to make the logo bigger.
