Mumbai Monsoon, the good, the bad and the downright ugly

the good, the bad and the downright ugly
I live in a country of specialists. We have specialists in every field. "You have a viral fever, take Mox 250 capsules, three capsules a day for three days and it will be fine and don't forget to take the B-Complex capsules along with them." You get this kind of expert advise to almost any problem you have. There are a lot of experts on Bombay as well. "The weather in Bombay is very unpredicatable, one minute it is sunny and next minute it starts raining". "Getting into the local trains of Bombay is very easy, you just stand at the right spot and people will push you up". "The traffic is very systematic in Bombay"...I got so much expert opinions about Bombay from so many people and most of them have never been to Bombay

It was only after coming to Bombay I found out the truth about the weather, the trains and the traffic. The truth about the monsoon that it doesn't rain a single drop in Bombay for the entire year and then it starts raining and doesn't stop durning monsoon.

It rained a lot during monsoon last year was not any different...well it was. It rained and rained and rained on 26th of July and didn't stop till the entire Bombay was under water, at some good places till knee deep and in some bad places, more than a floor deep. I have taken a few images during the monsoon and now the next monsoon is here, I'd like to share these with you. Some images reflect the beautiful, romantic and everything positive aspect of the monsoon and some show the ugly face of it.
